A properly fitting ring should slide on easily but resist coming off over the knuckle. When in doubt, a little looser is always better than a little tighter.

How to Measure

Method One — Measure an Existing Ring

This is the most accurate approach, and it's our recommended method when you're planning a surprise. Find a ring she already wears on the correct finger — it should fit comfortably without sliding off.

Any local jeweller can size your finger accurately with a professional ring sizer. This is the most reliable method and takes under a minute.
